Alex Robbins is a J.D. candidate in the Indiana University Maurer School of Law Class of 2016. He is a member of the Inmate Legal Assistance Project, the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and has volunteered with the Outreach for Legal Literacy.
In May 2013, Alex graduated from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Rhetoric. While at Wabash, Alex served as Student Body President, competed as an NCAA Student-Athlete in golf, founded the Political Science Society, chaired the school’s chapter of the College Republicans, was the opinion editor for the school newspaper, The Bachelor, sang in the Wabash College Glee Club, was a member of the broadcast team for Wabash baseball, and was an officer in the Tau Chapter of Beta Theta Pi. Additionally, in 2012-2013 Alex was the lone student representative for Wabash College’s Presidential Search Committee, which selected the College’s 16th President.
Alex has also served as the Executive Director for the Indiana Federation of College Republicans, a judicial clerk for the Hon. Matthew G. Hanson, and a legislative intern for United States Senator Richard G. Lugar.
Alex was born and raised in Bedford, Indiana, where he graduated in 2009 from Bedford North Lawrence High School. At BNL, Alex played football and golf, founded a political interest organization, and participated in the musical Fiddler on the Roof.
Outside of the classroom, Alex enjoys working as a licensed IHSAA basketball official, playing guitar and singing, and playing golf.
