Bailey Decker is a junior pursuing a major in Law and Public Policy, a Certificate in Applied Research and Inquiry, and a Certificate in Global French. She is a Founders Scholar and recipient of the Browning Scholarship, two SPEA Dean’s Council Awards, the Greater Good Internship Fund, and the Civic Leaders Center Lenkowsky Award for Excellence in Public Affairs Writing. During her freshman year, Bailey was the Vice-President of the 2015-2016 cohort in the Civic Leaders Center. Into her sophomore year, she served as the Press Secretary of IUSA Congress. Her ongoing involvement as a Law and Public Policy Event Coordinator gives her the opportunity to connect students, faculty, and professionals in engaging programming events.
Professionally, Bailey has interned in Ohio for a US Senate Campaign in 2016 and the Columbus City Council in 2017. This work has given her an appreciation for the complexities of our political processes, organizational infrastructure, and local policy issues. At the end of a long week, Bailey likes to curl up with a bowl of soup and the latest episode of The Americans.
