Chelsea Brune is a member of the Class of 2016 at the Maurer School of Law. She is a member of the Protective Order Project, the Federalist Society, and an IU Ambassador for Maurer’s Admissions Office. She participated in the 2014 Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition and is currently participating in Maurer’s Trial Competition. This past summer she interned for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana in Indianapolis. Next summer she plans to work for Haller & Colvin in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

In May 2013, Chelsea graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a B.A. in Journalism and minors in Music and Political Science. During her undergraduate experience at Indiana University Chelsea was a member of the Hutton Honors College and served as an Honors College mentor. Chelsea was also involved in the Jacob’s School of Music’s Orchestra for Non-Majors with roles as principal 2nd violinist, 2nd chair 1st violinist and as a soloist. She was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ during her undergraduate experience and served on the Publicity team. Chelsea went to Berlin, Germany with Campus Crusade on a Spring Break trip in 2010; while there she discussed German religious culture with students at Humboldt University. Chelsea also studied abroad in Greece during the summer of 2011 where she explored the Acropolis, toured Greek islands and witnessed Greek demonstrations. Throughout her time in Bloomington, Chelsea has also attended Evangelical Community Church where she has worked in the nursery, been a part of the college service’s band as a violinist, and currently helps with the youth group.

Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Chelsea graduated from Leo High School in 2009. While in high school she was a member of the National Honors Society, Interact, a class president and served as the editor-in-chief of the Yearbook. She was also involved in Fort Wayne’s Youth Symphony where she was a 1st violinist for 5 years.

When not in class, Chelsea loves spending her (limited) free time with family and friends, cheering for IU basketball in Assembly Hall, exercising, baking and enjoying a good book or movie.
