Co-Chief of Academic Affairs
Emily is a sophomore from Fishers, IN currently pursuing majors in finance, business analytics, and economic consulting. With this trio, she looks to create viable solutions that allow businesses to confront their pressing issues through technology, problem solving, and collaboration. She has always valued the importance of education and learning both within and outside of the classroom, believing that every student should have access to all academic opportunities that Indiana University offers, without extraneous hindrances. This year, she aims to remove such restrictions, increase accessibility of academic information, and compile all resources available to students.
Outside of IUSA and the academic realm, Emily strives to create a platform for student voices, empower individuals to reach their goals, and implement beneficial initiatives on campus. She has been able to do so with her involvement in Women in Business and Kelley Student Government. Previously, on the Kelley Relations committee in WiB, she created a ‘Women’s Luncheon’ to connect all women’s business organizations and broach the topic of increasing female engagement and involvement within the Kelley School. Through KSG, she implemented numerous initiatives throughout the year that boosted morale of the students. Additionally, she served as the bridge between both organizations, facilitating the communication of ideas and events.
Emily will bring commitment and perseverance to her position as co-chief of academic affairs. After all, to ensure that IU students feel empowered to achieve their goals, their interests within the classroom must first be protected.
